Limoncello was inspired by Melbourne's fast-fading shopfront signage, particularly in the traditionally Italian neighbourhoods of Carlton and Fitzroy. It is an italic display typeface to be used to give an Italian feel and/or look. Although originally designed as a lower case typeface, some uppercase flourished letterforms have been added to give more versatility.
